I had suffered from gum disease for over 20 years and had decided to get some help. Having researched the Internet about dentistry in Hungary, I was surprised one day to see an advert in the local newspaper advertising a Hungarian Dentist Team visiting Newry, Co Down. Dr Borbath and his team were visiting at the Canal Court Hotel, where a free consultation was available. After speaking with Dr Borbath I travelled to Hungary in November, 2008 to have the first stage of my treatment. This required 12 implants, and bone augmentation, I stayed there for 10 days, and the service was exceptional. After six months I returned to have the final work completed in May 2009.

I would like to thank Dr Borbath and his team for a wonderful service, with a special thanks to Alan Morton, the co-ordinator. I was very impressed by the friendly and efficient way I was dealt with and delighted with the result. I really appreciate the treatment I received there. All of the staff were professional, efficient and very friendly.

I have successfully completed my treatment and am now back home with spectacular results. The dental work has transformed my life, I used to go out in winter with a scarf wrapped round my mouth because of the pain of sensitivity, I now can smile all the time and it makes me feel much more confident.

NEED TEETH, WILL TRAVEL

My decision to look outside Ireland for dental treatment came about after discussion with dentists both North and South of Ireland. I’d had a denture on top for years and really didn’t like it at all. I wanted implants and the Irish dentists I consulted said I didn’t have enough bone. One dentist said I would have to have a section of bone taken from my leg, to be used to supplement the bone in my mouth, but he couldn’t guarantee it would work. I didn’t like the sound of this. Eventually I just gave up hope.

Then a friend told me she saw an advert in the paper about the Dental Implant Centre in Hungary, so I made a call and got some information. I had a panoramic x-ray taken and went to see Dr. Borbath for a free assessment in Dublin. Both my husband and I were very impressed with Dr. Borbath and his team. He was very professional and helpful and my situation was not unfamiliar to him. Dr. Borbath said it would entail complex and difficult reconstruction work, that it would be in two phases approximately six months apart, and that he would do everything in his power to give me functional and attractive teeth.

A month later my husband and I were on a plane to Budapest. I was going for the first phase of my dental treatment. I felt nervous, but confident that I would be in good hands and that I would, eventually, have a mouth full of gorgeous teeth.

A few weeks after I returned home following the first phase of my treatment, I had some discomfort and was concerned about healing, so I contacted the representative, Ali. She spoke with Dr. Borbath and an appointment was made to see him in Dublin on his next visit. He carefully examined my mouth and reassured me that all was well and exactly as it should be, and that complete healing would take time because of the complexity of the treatment.

I saw Dr. Borbath for check-ups twice more in Dublin over the following four months. The healing process was on track and he was very pleased with my progress. It was made known to me that if there had been any problems in relation to the treatment, I would be invited back to the clinic immediately at no cost to myself..

Due to Dr. Borbath’s vast knowledge and experience, my bone augmentation was a much simpler procedure and did not require the removal of any bone from my body. My implants were completely successful. I returned to the clinic seven months later for the second phase of my treatment and I am absolutely delighted with the final result - I now have lovely porcelain crowns in both my upper and lower mouth.

It has made a huge difference to my self confidence and I now have the teeth I have always wanted. And the icing on the cake is that it cost a fraction of the price in Ireland, even allowing for the cost of the flights and accommodation.

Wrinkle-Treatment and Lip Augmentation
Last summer my husband decided to travel to Hungary to have dental implants (he also required bone grafting and a sinus lift) and I went along for a holiday. On arrival I discovered that Dr Borbath was now doing wrinkle treatment and lip augmentation. This was a great opportunity to complete my new look. I am thrilled with the final package.

I would highly recommend Dr. Borbath and his team in Hungary to anyone who needs expert, professional dental treatment. It is also good to know that Hungarian hospitals and clinics have one of the lowest rates of MRSA in Europe.

Hello Alan,

You promised you would look after me and I would now like to let you know how appreciative I am for the care and attention I received at the clinic and by Dr. Borbath and his team. The whole experience was quite amazing compared to going to the dentist at home. I still can't believe how little pain I experienced. I hope I am not speaking too soon but, so far, my teeth have been behaving themselves.
